Partial Dentures

We make removable partial dentures to replace missing teeth when other natural teeth are present. Getting a partial can help prevent tooth shifting, improve chewing ability and complete your smile.

When natural teeth are involved, we will work closely with your dentist to ensure the best decisions are made for your natural teeth and personal needs. Your dental office may also offer some fixed partial solutions such as bridges and single tooth implants.

If you and your dentist decide a removable partial is best for you and all restorative work is complete, have your dental office send us a referral. We are experts in removable partials and can help design one that will best fit your needs.

Listed below are the different partials we offer.

Temporary acrylic partials or flippers

Temporary acrylic partials are meant to be a temporary cosmetic solution while waiting for a more permanent solution. Many times single tooth flippers are used while waiting for single tooth implants. And multiple tooth acrylic temporary partials are used while gums are healing from extractions before a permanent partial can be made.

Cast Metal Partial Dentures

Cast metal partials are the most common removable partial denture they are also the most expensive. They are the most durable and can usually be relined and have teeth added to them, if necessary, which is why they are a great choice for many people. Tooth or tissue colored clasp can also be used on anterior teeth when appropriate.

Flexible Partial Dentures

Flexible partials offer both strength and flexibility and do not contain metal, which some patients prefer. They are becoming an increasingly popular option for upper arches. They can be used on a lower, but the strongest option would still be cast metal.

We offer a Duraflex flex partial material. They are easy to adjust in office and they are stronger than other flex partial materials out there so more difficult to break.

But if they do happen to break, repair acrylic does not bond well to them or any flex material, so repairs are not likely to hold long. They also cannot be relined and adding a tooth to them is not practical, as it may not attach well.

If you are hard on dentures, your gums are still changing rapidly or you know you are going to loose more teeth soon, this is not the best option for you.

Acetal Partial Dentures

Acetal partial dentures also combine both flexibility and strength. They are not as strong as cast metal partials yet stronger than a flex, but not quite as flexible. But they are great solution if you do not want metal in your mouth and know more teeth may be coming out soon. You can add teeth to them and repair them. They can also be relined if needed.
